How do I set a Hotmail account with outlook or thunderbird?

I’m wondering what those two servers it asks for are, the incoming and outgoing servers are, for Hotmail.

    As of right now, I do not believe Hotmail offers POP access, unless you pay for it. However they likely will in the not to distant future. (unless something has changed, and they are suddenly offering it.)

    Hello,

    I believe Hotmail plans to offer this service in the future in an attempt to compete with Gmail which already offers this service.

    In the meantime, here are the directions for upgrading and configuring a Hotmail Plus account:
