How can I get hotmail without having to get windows live attached to it?

    Windows Live is the same as hotmail. basically its owned by the same company so there is no getting around it

    I don’t think you can. Windows Live is attached to Hotmail. And is part of the email stuff. Once you signed up for hotmail you…you are stuck with it. Sorry about that..I don’t like the Live system too much neither. If you don’t like it you may want to sign up at another place, but if you decide to stay..I don’t think Live will give many problems, it should be fine.
