Jones asked:

I just made a new hotmail address and i was wondering if theres a simple, automatic way to transfer all my msn contacts from my old account to my new one rather than adding each person manually.

Rather a stupid question i know because theres probably a very simple way to do it but i dont know about it.

You will need to be using Windows Live Hotmail to do this.

In your old account, sign into hotmail… and on the left hand side click contacts.

When your contacts load click options on the right hand side.

From the menu choose Export contacts and follow the instructions to save your contacts in a CSV (comma seperated value) file.

In the new account log into hotmail and go to the contacts and click on the options button once again. This time select import contacts from the menu. You will then be asked to locate the CSV file and your contacts will be imported.

Your CSV file is very useful as it can be used with many other email providers and instant messengers.

    Hope this helps you
