The low pricing of Cosmetic Surgeries in india is because of the Pricing index in India, and not due to any low health standards. In fact Indian doctors are sought after the world over, and the luxury afforded to guests in India is famed everywhere. In the following pragraphs, i will discuss the relative price costing of surgeries and other Cosmetic Surgeries in India and in Europe.
If we consider Hair Transplant, the charges in India vary from 60-150 (1-3$) Rupees per follicular Hair Unit, so if we consider 1000 Hair follicles unit, the charges would be arounnd 60,000 to 1 lakh rupees (1200-1700$) depending on the centre where the surgery is done. the similar cost in Europe or in the US is about 8000 $ or about 6000 Euro.
Similarly if we consider a tummy tuck. we charge around 1.6 Laks to 2 Laks (3000 -4000$), similar costs in Europe are around 16000$ . A face lift here would cost about the same whereas in Europe it costs about 12,000$. So there is a big cost advantage here. For an injection of Botox, we charge 6 $ per Unit. so for the upper face in a woman, we would typically charge for 50 units that is about 300$. THIS is a bit high because of the cost of Botox itself.
Now we also need to consider that a number of Cosmetic surgeons here are trained in Europe and Brazil, which are t he hubs of Cosmetic Surgery, so there is nothing to doubt the qualityof medical care in India
Throw in a visit to the Taj Mahal, and the beaches of Goa, make a wonderful package. SO THINK ABOUT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
