Your Windows Live ID is the email address you use, along with your password, to sign in to any Windows Live program or service, such as Hotmail, Messenger, or SkyDrive. You can also use it to sign in to other Microsoft services, including Xbox LIVE, Zune, and Office Live.
More Hotmail Info: To sign in to a Windows Live program on your computer Open the Windows Live program you want to sign in to by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type the name of the program you want, and then click it in the list of results.
Enter your Windows Live ID and password.
To save your Windows Live ID and password on your computer, select Remember my ID and password.
You won’t need to re-enter this information the next time you sign in.
To sign in automatically whenever you open a Windows Live program on your computer, select Sign me in automatically.
You won’t be prompted to sign in again when you open Windows Live programs on your computer.
Click Sign in to see your hotmail inbox.
