How do you set a hotmail email as your computers’ default messaging system?

Rob asked:

If there is an email address on a web page, for example, every time I click on it, it opens up microsoft outlook, or something similar.

How can I set my computer so that every time I click on an email address, it will bring up my hotmail account, instead of the computers default version?

Unfortunately, I fear this is not possible. If you buy the premium version of Hotmail or Yahoo then you can set up the POP3/Mail server of your account in Outlook or the like and use that to send and receive mails. But with a pure web based mail – i don’t think you can do that!
